BX Ceramics are ceramics made by Becki Chernoff in Los Angeles, California. Becki has been wheel throwing since 1994. She is currently a member of Xiem Clay Center in Pasadena where she teaches beginning wheel throwing and is the teaching assistant for an Art Center intro to Ceramics class. What do you struggle most with when throwing on the potters wheel? I remember when I first started I struggled a lot with centering the clay as well as feeling like I had full control over what I was making - a lot of the time I felt like the clay was deciding what shape it was going to be rather than me!
