This is a very good packing mechanism, and as has been noted by others, good for packing outfits. Tee shirts, underwear and socks carefully folded into a single roll. It would work less with the shorter socks, but still is pretty effective for planning an outfit. This is good for work outfits, packing travel bags for short trips or for long trips.
