M240b 7.62mm medium machine gun. The "Heavy" gun of the US infantry. Heavy, meaning it's way heavier than it needs to be, about 29 lbs. It's a clunky, heavy, stoppage prone (especially in dusty environments) piece of Euro-trash. Anyone who loves it has only the M16 or M249 to compare it too and is therefore a poor judge.
