GERMANY OWES GREECE £60 BILLION FOR NAZI WAR CRIMES

German Nazis murdered Greeks at Distomo in Greece The Greeks were terrorised by the German Nazis. Hitler said: "Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. This is the war of the future." (hitler quotes - Stormfront) Terror was part of the Nazi philosophy. (Blammo asked for some solid examples of NAZIs using terror as a philosophy.) Greece under the Nazis. In June 1944, Hitler's NAZIS attacked the Greek village of Distomo and killed 218 people. A German…

In April, five months after its troops had subdued the Italians, the glory that was Greece failed. Axis forces, mostly German, rushed in from Romania and Bulgaria. The Greeks, bolstered by 58,000 British soldiers, fought bravely again. But by late May the Nazi flag was hoisted over the Acropolis.

Greek General Georgios Tsolakoglu and SS Obergruppenführer Sepp Dietrich at the signing of the surrender of Greece. Global Conflict, The Third Reich, Army & Navy, History Photos, Interesting History, Military History, Armed Forces, Historical Photos, World War Ii

An extraordinary photograph: While Gen Georgios Tsolakoglou (sitting, with glasses) signs the surrender of Greece to German forces, SS-Obergruppenführer Sepp Dietrich is obviously enjoying a joke (?) with two Greek staff officers, who should have known better than fraternizing so openly with the enemy. Postwar, Tsolagoglou was sentenced to death for signing the surrender without authorization and collaborating with the enemy. He died in prison in 1948.
