I did this last night when I was making muffins, but didn't look it up online. Using the cup is genius. Some of my muffins had conical bottoms or puzzle piece sides because I just used the weight of the batter to get the liners into the muffin pan. Also, parchment paper liners come off cleaner than store bought liners.
