In Greece I explored the food culture in Costa Navarino. We took part in an olive harvest, learned about the characteristics of extra virgin olive oil and tried our hand at cooking a traditional Messinian mea.
A 3 day stay in Greece had us experiencing the charms of local and Cretan cuisine. There were many dishes to highlight but my favorite was the lamb antikristo roasted on a pit by the beach for five hours with only salt as a seasoning.
