Greek costumes - Nikolas Sperling

Nicolas Sperling was a miniaturist active in Egypt. Antony Benaki entrusted the execution of the Hellenic national costumes to Sperling, who was brought to Greece for the purpose. Sperling completed a great number of watercolor illustrations, of which 111 plates were printed.
