Late 19th century © Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation, Nafplion, Greece This chemise is part of the old type of village women’s costume of Corinthia, the Argolid and probably the whole Peloponnese. It has a vertical opening at the front and is decorated with multicoloured silk embroideries of geometric motifs, and with triangular appliqués on the sleeves.
