Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Corolla, NC. This red brick lighthouse -at 162 feet tall- towers above the northern Outer Banks landscape in the historic Corolla Village. Erected in 1875, it houses a winding staircase, 214 steps in all, to the top of the lighthouse for a panoramic view of Currituck Sound, the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Outer Banks. We have gone 7 summers!
