Western Australia: Lake Argyle, Kimberley. Lake Argyle is Australia's largest body of fresh water, you can take a sunset cruise and swim.
Horizontal Waterfalls, Kimberley Western Australia. Honestly - how lucky am I? Flew by seaplane from Broome to the remote Horizontal Falls, where we were picked up by jetboats and taken on the ride of our lives, through the falls which form from a rush of water with the incoming or outgoing tide, a phenomenon found only here in the Kimberley. Then it was off to a floating pontoon for a lovely lunch a cold beer and then seaplane back to Broome. What a sensational day I'll never forget!
Sirene Sea Pearls
Broome, Western Australia. When in Broome, buy yourself or your lover a south sea Pearl, or even a whole strand of them. Broome has an amazing pearling history, and cultivation continues today. Broome produces some of the worlds finest so go take a look!
Cape Leveque, Western Australia. North of Broome, Cape Leveque is one of the most stunning landscapes I have ever witnessed. It's just a small beach settlement where the red cliffs meet the pure white sands and then the clear clear aqua blue of the Indian Ocean. Stayed 3 days, on a shack on the beach. Could have easily stayed 3 weeks.
Darling Harbour, Sydney New South Wales. This is Darling Harbour, an area where I have stayed very often while in Sydney. There are loads of major hotels here to choose from plus masses of restaurants, bars and the casino. An entertainment hub in Sydney - but not the only one. A bit touristy, but if you're a visitor you will definitely enjoy a visit.
Melbourne, Victoria. I think Melbourne is my favourite city to visit in Australia. It may not have the radiant good looks of Sydney, but it's all charm and loads of substance. Best restaurants, best coffee, great bars and entertainment all over, including in the 'burbs. Melbourne certainly doesn't have Sydney's sunny disposition but its bold and stylish. I love it.
Sydney Opera House, Sydney NSW. With the famous Harbour Bridge in the background the Opera House is obviously a must do. Circular Quay, the around the Opera House is vibrant and busy area with loads of eateries and bars. If you're visiting Sydney a visit to the Opera Bar is a must, as is a look inside the Opera House itself.
Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb - Sydney New South Wales. This tour is a worthwhile investment for visitors to Sydney. Amazing, thrilling and very entertaining. I did my bridge climb at dusk - when we reached the top you could see all the lights of the city and the Opera house while the sun set to the west. If you're in Sydney and you haven't done it - you should add it to your list of must do's in Sydney!
Sydney - New South Wales. This is Sydney, I guess most overseas travellers would see it as Australia's 'gateway', and rightly so. Sydney is really a spectacular city especially in and around the Harbour & the Rocks but there is life and vibrancy in many suburbs and neighbourhoods. I still travel to Sydney regularly for work, so I feel like I know it like the back of my hand, and whilst it's nice to relax in the familiar, you can always find something new and dynamic to do in Sydney.
