Constantine I, King of Greece (1913-1917, 1920-1922), husband of Princess Sophie of Prussia. Constantine was a 2nd cousin of Czar Nicholas II and an uncle of Prince Phillip, consort of Queen Elizabeth II. He was made a German Field Marshall by his brother-in-law, Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany.

He travelled all over Europe and joined the Greek War of Independence fighting the Ottoman Empire, for which Greeks revere him as a national hero. He died one year later at age 36 from a fever contracted while in Missolonghi in Greece.
