The binding of this seventeenth-century heraldic manuscript was executed in 1923, in imitation of a binding on a prayer book which had been presented by King Charles I to William Murray, first Earl of Dysart. It was presented to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother when she was Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon by William Tollemache, 9th Earl of Dysart, and she then presented it to the Royal Library in 1975. La Vie de saint Denis, reliure brodée aux armes de Marie de Médicis  Manuscrit de dédicace à la reine Marie de Médicis, sur la vie de saint Denis. Une des dix reliures brodées exécutées en France sous le règne de Louis XIII. Reliure originale en soie violette brodée d’or, fleurs et ornements en soie de couleurs, chiffre de Marie de Médicis et couronne en perles fines, dos long à semé de fleurs de lys dans un encadrement, ruban de gros de Tours parme, avec lisière en dentelle dorée.
