Religion: This is one of the floats that are part of Apokries, a Greek carnival. Apokries is a celebration that comes before Easter and lasts three weeks. There are parades, masked parties and other events. On the last day of Carnival, Greeks eat lots of garlic and onion to keep the devil away. Then Lent begins, and most Greeks don't eat for the first and last weeks. 40 days later, Easter begins. Easter is the biggest and most religious holiday in Greece.
