The two halves with a gold washed interior, the exterior profusely decorated with flat beaded borders, trefoil borders, foliate scrolls, flower heads, brackets, scrolls and a central roundel all in subtle complimentary colors against an oxidized silver ground. Hallmarks inside the lower half for Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow kokoshnik 84 standard. Sells March 19, 2015.

The bowl with raised lobe-shape panels is decorated in alternating scrolling foliate motifs against multi-color grounds of red, pale blue, cream and green enamel. The shaped elongated handle is worked in similar floral motifs against a plae blue ground.
