How to make cheap wood slats for accent wall
Instead of using 1x2 hardwood, we ripped down large 4' x 8' sheets of plywood into 1 1/2 wide strips! From the front view of the wood slat wall, you can't even tell the difference between plywood and oak hardwood. From the side angle, you can see the layers of plywood veneers, but honestly...it's pretty cool looking.
