I am actually one of them! That's how I was able to take the picture given that the Acropolis was closed to visitors at the time. Best viewed large on black The Presidential Guard is responsible for hoisting and lowering the Greek flag on the Acropolis every Sunday. The hosting takes place at 8am and the lowering one hour before sunset.
