Irene Papas, Actress: The Guns of Navarone. Irene Papas was born on September 1926 in Chilimodion, Corynth, Greece as Eiríni Lelékou. She is an actress, known for The Guns of Navarone The Message and Electra She was previously married to Alkis Papas.

Irene Papa, Greek actress. At some point in her career she was talked into going to Hollywood for work. There, she was marketed as a "Greek starlet" and had to give typical cheesecake interviews. However, the statuesque Athena-looking woman would instead end up launching in all seriousness and in that deep voice of hers into musings on Plato's concept of the soul vs  the Epicurean idea of the nature of man. One can only imagine the perplexed reactions.
