Photographer Martin Klimas has a knack for capturing things that happen in a moment’s time. We recently admired his images of shattered flower vases, and now we’re turning our attention towards his photos of broken porcelain figurines. From a height of three meters, these objects were dropped on the ground, and the sound of their shattering tripped the shutter release. What results are incredible displays of chaotic beauty.

Beautiful "action shots" taken by photographer Martin Klimas. These were captured just as each objects hit the ground after being dropped from 9.8 feet above. He was able to take the photos by wiring his camera so the camera's shutter release was tripped by sound. in addition to the dynamic quality observed in the pose of each porcelain action character, Klimas was able to enhance the sense of liveliness through the shard-constructed elongation of each figure's form.
