One of the most recent Cartier tiaras to come to public attention is the diamond and pearl meander tiara given to Marguerite, Lady Allan, commissioned by her husband for her in 1909.

The Palffy diamond tiara by Köchert, Austrian (Vienna), circa 1870, Christie’s. The Palffy family is of Hungarian nobility dating back to the 14th century.

German Crowns
Stunning 1806, Queen of Bavaria Karoline of Baden, crown contains huge pearls and large diamonds. As part of a republican Germany, Bavaria has not had a monarch since 1918 but the Bavarian Crown Jewels are still on show in the Treasury of the Residenz Palace in Munich.

Detenebrate
The only remaining Medieval Crown (1370-80) Probably originally made for Anne of Bohemia, wife of Richard II, King of England from 1377-1400. The crown was part of the royal treasure seized by Henry Bolingbroke, who became Henry IV. This crown was later sent by Henry with his daughter Blanche when she was married off in order to cement an anti-French alliance.
