Puyas are tropical / arid climate plants in the Bromeliad (Pineapple) Family. This plant is 10-20 years old ~ when it blooms it is in the process of dying. The blooming process takes 6 to 8 months . . Then the plant is gone. This is a flower which requires some investment.
