Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen

Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard Nielsen Both trained as architects from the Design School in Copenhagen in 40s. Mølgaard also had a background in carpentry. In 1944 they founded the company Hvidt & Mølgaard and collaborated until 1975th. 1947 they designed AX chair, produced by Fritz Hansen. It was the first chair made of double curved laminated wood. The techniques that were used was the beginning of a great success for Danish furniture exports. Hvidt & Mølgaard designed more than 250 furniture.
