Out for a stroll in the streets of Kurokawa, onsen visitors regularly wear onsen yukata outside the onsen hotel before or after bathing. Kurokawa Onsen is considered one of the most pleasant onsen towns in Kyushu and all of Japan for its lack of kitsch and glitz found at other watering holes.
