The Rapid Darner works slightly differently to the Speedweve - the hooks at the top move up and down instead of left to right. This means that when the weft rows are worked you'll be going over and under two threads each time and not one. I mimicked that with the weft threads to create this basket weave darn by only alternating the hooks every second row.
