No flowers. No hearts. No clichés. Cupid's not invited. These are contemporary tales from some of our finest authors - hilarious, troubling, poignant, real, and raw, these books make ideal companions whether you're happily betrothed or recently dumped. #lovebooks http://www.flickr.com/photos/penguinbooks/sets/72157640790975843

This quote describes the beginning of a friendship that could be broken by no living force. When Rudy first saw Liesel during a soccer game, he threw a snowball in her face to introduce himself. This type of behavior continued between the two characters for the remainder of the book. Even though they called each other rude names, the two love birds were now forever friends. Who could have ever imagined that a snowball would start an everlasting friendship.
