The 2nd mode of the Major scale, the Dorian mode. This guitar scale consists of a minor scale with a major 6th. In scale degree terms this would look like 1, 2, b3, 4, 5, 6, b7. Used a lot in funk music, you can use this handy guitar lesson whenever you need a new scale to play. You can start and end on the 2nd note of the Major scale to play the Dorian mode.
