It’s not hard to understand why there’s a craze over all these salted egg yolk delicacies once you’ve had a Molten Lava Bun. Once you pull apart the soft, pillow-like sweet bun to reveal that gloriously golden & oozing filling… oh my! :o :o . And what you get is a salty-sweet egg yolk custard that will tickle your tastebuds in pure delight. :3
Homemade Egg Noodles 1 egg 2 egg yolks 3 Tbsp cold water 1 tsp salt 2 c. flour Beat the eggs until light and fluffy. Add the remaining ingredients. Knead until smooth. Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/8" thickness. Cut into strips- I just used a pizza cutter. You can store them in the fridge for 2-3 days or in the freezer for 1-2 months. CUSTARD :: Coffee Cream Custard (EASY!) :: Just heavy cream, instant coffee, egg yolks and some splenda (or sugar), dash of salt and some vanilla extract. After baking, the top forms a golden brown crust. You could make it just vanilla flavored by omitting the coffee. For carb counters, it's only 10g/ serving! | #custard #dessert #lowcarb
Apparently, there's hundreds of ways to prepare eggs yet, it wasn't until about a month ago that I discovered the soy cured egg yolk. A friend tagged me in a photo on Instagram and I felt a sudden curiosity towards this particular technique. With an array of work, travels, and the holidays, I put this experiment on hold until the new year.
