Peloponnese: Perachora, Corinth "The costume of Perachora, Corinthia, Peloponnese is probably typical for the whole of Peloponnese (in variations) and central Greece. It consists of a chemise, a short-sleeved bodice, a girdle and a white sleeveless short coat. The headdress has a long embroidered scarf worn loosely round the head like a turban."

Two costumes from Corinthia and Stymphalia, Peloponnese of the same sartorial family worn before the middle of the c. in all Peloponnese and central Greece. Each village bears a particular group of embroideries on all costume parts.

The bridal headdress is a katsoúli me tis foúndes: the katsoúli is the egg-shaped part of the headdress, held in place on the crown of the head by a lock of hair from married women. Wrapped round the katsoúli are three kerchiefs. One hangs down the back and is called the peristéra (dove).
