Color Palette
In the film there are various color palletes used. In the the tea party shots the color pallete consist of nutral colors such as light and dark browns, grey tones and nude tones.

The Red Queens - Hair
Hair stylist : Terry Baliel Baile explains in a interveiw how the red queens hair was done “We wanted the wig to be heart-shaped — we built some mesh pads and combed the hair, strand by strand, over that, ending up with curls on top so it almost looks like a bouquet of roses. When the wig came from London, it was stuffed with hair and very heavy. We tried to make it comfortable for Helena — we took it apart and built these mesh bags so it didn’t have to be stuffed with anything heavy. Because s

Mad Hatter - Make Up
Make up Artist: Terry York Terry York explain in a interview how Mad Hatters make up was done. “His character suffers from mercury poisoning — on one eye I used lavenders and purples, and on the other I used turquoise and light blue and dark blue, and there’s a little touch of green in there. There are actually about six different colors in his eyes. And then the white eyeliner and white eyelashes, and below his eyes a touch of red and some pink on one — they’re not supposed to match.

Red Queen - Make up
Make up Artist: Valli O'Reilly The red Queens make up look consists of a white painted face with thin line eye brows ( her real eye brows were shaved off for this film) that here blue eyeshadow goes up to from her upper lash line. With a heart shaped lip of course matching her theme of the queen of hearts.

Alice - Make up
Make up artist : Valli O'Reilly Alice has a very pale make up look with dark toned eye look. O'Reilly explained that she had to be painted with “the right color white because we were shooting against a green screen when she fell down the hole. If it was too white, it would absorb too much green and she would be mint-colored.”
Costume Designer: Coleen Atwood Coleen Atwood says that when making her costume she. ”had this concept for Anne that she was this magical, almost Stepford-y, fairy-tale fantasy character,”. The white queens dress is all white with a corset that has gold chain hanging across and gold detailing on various parts of the dress and it is poofy at the waist down. Mad Hatter
Costume Designer: Coleen Atwood Mad hatters Coat was made by layering over sheer silk and then burning the fabric in various areas to give it age. The joke tie around his neck and can be pulled up for when he is happy and down for when he is sad. His waist coat has tiny pieces of fabric sown in and over. The buttons are all different because he is a mg pie . His socks are mismatch. His costume is based heavily to represent his mood which was Johnny Depp touch on the costume.
