今日椎名林檎のニューアルバムがリリースされた。このニューアルバム「三文ゴシップ」は結構な前評判で、さっそく聴いてみた。 椎名林檎に対して、私はそんなに熱心なファンではないが、「絶頂集」「唄ひ手冥利～其ノ壱～」「加爾基 精液 栗ノ花」、東京事変 「 大人 (アダルト)」程度のアルバムは持っている。 彼女の魅力はゴージャスさと毒気かな。このバランスが非常に良いなと思っている。 さて、パソコンを弄りながらBGMとして聴いてみたが、林檎節というか相変わらずのゴージャスさと毒気は感じられるものの、その毒気が薄められているような気がした。 曲によって多彩なアレンジが施されているのがその原因のひとつであり、ビッグバンド風になると中途半端は止めろとでも言いたくなる。もっとロック寄りで良かったのにね。 CDジャケットのアートワークから感じられるのはまず彼女の素直さなのだが、アルバムの全体的なイメージとしては、あれやこれや雑多な衣服を身に着けているのではないか。 もうちょっとストレートアヘッドな林檎が聴きたいな。…
