This website shows various low cost, low tech AAC systems that are easy to make. The system pictured in the thumbnail is a low tech eye gaze system. It is light weight and beneficial for individuals with severe motor impairments. The symbols can be easily changed so that they suit the environment. I will suggest this method in the future to clients and families who think an eye gaze system may be the right choice for them.
