Reading Strategies
Teaching homophones - Read Dear Deer and list all of the homophones on a chart. Assign different words to students to have them define the words. Then play a game: Each student gets a word taped to their back, and they must get help from their classmates to determine what their word is. The students can only gives them one word adjectives for clues.
