Wife of the infamous Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March and lover of Isabella of France (Queen Consort of England - aka: "The She-Wolf of France"), probable murderer of King Edward II of England. Joan was one of the wealthiest & most eligible heiresses in the Welsh Marches with estates that included Ludlow Castle and the town of Ludlow. My 20th GGP.
