Do you notice? Yep. It's definitely thicker. It's getting a little bit browner as well. Yeah. Okay, we're almost at two seventy-five. Okay. Well, we're almost there so keep stirring. Alright, I think we're around 280 now. Okay, at two eighty, you can add your two tablespoons of butter. Okay, so we've got 2 tablespoons of butter here. Yup, add those in. Pour that in. Stir it in really good. Okay. I'm about to melt. Now, you can take it off the heat. Okay, turn the heat off. And very quickly add your tablespoon of baking soda. Okay, we got baking soda here. Your half a teaspoon of salt. Half a teaspoon of salt. And then your tablespoon of vanilla. Okay, tablespoon of vanilla. And stir it really quickly. Okay. Remove that mix that Move it over here. You need to take that candy thermometer out. Okay and clean that out. Then pour it onto your buttered cookie. Okay. So I'm going to stir it up. One last real quick stir. Okay. Is it foaming up? Okay. Yeah it's pretty foamy. Should I pour it? You better pour it now. Okay. Moving it over. This is where you move kind of fast. Okay. And you don't want to spread that at all with a knife or anything. You just dump it on. And you leave it alone. Oh that looks beautiful. Oh look at that colour. That's great. All the you can go over top of it. Yeah. It looks fine. Oh wow. That looks awesome. Oh that's beautiful. That's perfect. Did I do it right? That's beautiful. Now at this point you just let that cool and then we'll we'll start cracking it into into candy. Okay so we're going to crack into this. That's my favorite part. Alright let's see how your brittle turned out mom. Ha ha. Your brittle. Oh it's coming off the pan. Oh it's it came off in one piece. That's so easy. Oh. So now do I just crack it? I know this is probably going to look dangerous. Mama knows this. Yeah you might as well just do it. You're doing great. And you get to eat all those ones that fall on the floor you know. Oh I definitely will. And you want to make your pieces not too big Oh yeah. That's easy. Nobody's ever going to complain if the piece is too big. You know that. So put them on our tray so they're nice and pretty. We'll try this one right here. Does it taste does it taste like mine? It's very good. What we got here, chef? Well, we've got one box of rice checks. We're going to make a holiday snack that's so addicting. You're going to love it. Alright, so what we're going to do is we're going to add a nice sauce into this and then we're going to mix it all together. Here we've got our chocolate sauce. Just going to pour it all over the checks. Just like this. Oh that looks so delicious. I have my semi-sweet chocolate chips here. We're going to pour one cup into our pan. A/ 4 of a cup of butter which is half of a stick. Half cup of creamy peanut butter out of our pan. Half a teaspoon of vanilla. Stove on medium heat. Just going to let that melt and we're going to stir it up. Okay, so this is looking really good. See, you want it to be nice and smooth. Once all the loaves are gone, then you know it's ready to go. Make sure we get every single drop onto our rice chucks. Okay so that's looking really good. So now I'm just going to stir it up. Now, we have everything incorporated. So, we're going to put it into the Ziploc baggy Just going to spoon it in. One gallon bag should be plenty big we're going to put all of this mixture in the bag can you smell that chocolate and peanut butter oh yeah smells delicious smells so good our family called it puppy chow but I know people other people have called it muddy buddies some people call it Christmas crack but you can it's pretty much always the same recipe our last ingredient is one half cups of powdered sugar. So, I'm just pour this in. Alright. So, we've got everything in our bag. Let's seal it up and we're going to give it a really good shake. I'm going to check on it. I'm going to open it up. Gonna fluff it a little bit. Wanna make sure all the powdered sugar gets to the bottom. So everything is covered evenly. Now, our powdered sugar has set in. So, we're going to put it on our pan to dry. I've just put a piece of parchment paper down on a pan I'm just going to spread it out. Oh, that looks awesome. Oh, wow. Hey, that is so good. I'm just going to stir it around a little bit. That way, everything is mixed evenly. Definitely want to let it dry but we're going to also put it in the refrigerator for a little bit. Oh, this looks good. So all we need to do now is package it up. So I like to use these cute little holiday buckets. You know what? I can just use my hands for this so it's all dried and cooled. So I'm just going to start filling our bucket. And these make great gifts. Of course, I have to try it. So good. Half of this icing in this container and we're just going to put it in the bowl and I'm going to pop it in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Next, we got green food coloring. You can just eyeball it. That's looking good. Okay, so I put a little bit of icing on each corner so that will hold my parchment paper down. Take a big scoop of this. Put it on my board. Take another one. Now, we're just going to kind of move it around. Okay, do you have any idea what this is? So, we're going to stick our Snickers bar down here. Oh, very cute. Next, I've got some sprinkles. Hmm. So, we're just going to want to kind of gently put them over the top. Okay. Got some other candies here. Some Skittles and some MandM's. So, we'll just kind of place those around. Different colors like a Christmas tree. Yeah, decorating the tree. Yup. How fun. This is really fun to do with kids. They love it. Next, I've got some marshmallows. We're just going to kind of put them on the bottom just so it looks like snow and kind of just layer them along the bottom. That's looking cute. You know, when you have the kids over to make gingerbread houses, you can make one of these too. Alright, so this is a great hack if you don't have a star cookie. Take a rice crispy treat. Okay. And we're just going to roll it out with our rolling pins. This is actually a really easy thing to do. Okay. So, we've got a star cookie cutter. Mmm. Okay. And we're just going to stick it in. Press it down and make our star. That works so well. We're going to peel the outer layer off. Look at that. And we have a perfect star for our top. How cute is that? Awesome. We're going to take our cookies. We've got vanilla wafers. Mm hmm. And I like a little salty sweet mix. So, I'm going to also include some pretzel sticks. Okay. So, we're just going to flip them around the board. Nice and neat. Entertaining. Just put it out and people can mash on it. Yeah, people can dig in. Is that cute? Our glass here. Nice hack. Yeah.
