Priestess Merit, wife of Maya Maya was the Minister of the Interior and Overseer of the Treasury during the reign of Pharaohs Tutankhamun, Ay and Horemheb (approx. 1333 BC – 1290 BC) of the 18th dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He was also an important official and noted for restoring the burials of several earlier pharaohs in the Royal Necropolis in the years following the deaths of Tutankhamun and Ay.
