Bird of Paradise flowers are associated with liberty, magnificence, and good perspective. Family : Strelitziacea. (crane flower, kraanvoëlblom) I love Birds of Paradise, and I do a lot of paintings with these colourful end exotic flowers as the main subject. (This board is dedicated to the flowers only and they could be in a photograph, in a decor area, in drawings and paintings and any artistic form). If you would like to join the group please drop me a line at virtual360@mac.com, Thank you.

"The Bird of Paradise"

Taken on a recent holiday in Madeira this is an image of a beautiful plant called "The Bird of Paradise". I also photographed this flower in Sicily in May this year. This image was taken in the Botanic Gardens with the capital of Madeira, Funchal, in the background.

Bird Of Paradise

On the way to the lookout point in Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetary, I spotted this bird of paradise along the walkway. After heavy post processing, this is what I came up with to feature this beautiful flower.
