My brother and sister-in-law just returned from Spetses, which is where she was born before being adopted by an American couple in D.C. Looks like a lovely Greek island, which puts it in good company!

Kamares beach, in the port of Kamares in Sifnos. There is/was a taverna here called "The Old Captain," where my main character Nick Pappas is attracted to the barmaid Ippy.

Crysopigi Beach, Sifnos. In the background you can see the Crysopigi (also known as Chrissiopigi), which served as a model for the monastery in Ring of Fire.

Church on the Greek island of Sifnos, much like the one depicted in my humorous suspense novel "Ring of Fire."

Chrissiopigi on the Greek island of Sifnos, a model for the monastery depicted in my humorous suspense novel "Ring of Fire."

Vathi Beach in Sifnos, where much of the action in Ring of Fire takes place.

Taverna by the sea on the Bay of Vathy in Sifnos, Greece. Had one of the best burgers of my life there. I think it must have contained an entire stick of butter.

Hotel Stavros, one of the first places you see when you get off the ferry in Sifnos, is featured prominently in my novel "Ring of Fire." (linked to from my website, in my profile)
