#Refurbishment of the West Tower in Huesca City Hall / ACXT It is still sometimes a problem to convince people that building in #historic or even antique context doesn't necessarily means copying old material, style, look and detail. In my country - Poland, very often creating a new but stylized building, imitating old neighbourhood is equated with the only right way of making new #architecture in old context. Here is a good example denying this misconception.

[Tallinn, Estonia / Rotermann’s Old and New Flour Storage by HGA] For facade articulation we have abstracted proportion of wall versus window openings as a character of old industrial buildings. For main facade material cor-ten steel was chosen for its property fitting to the existing surroundings of rough surfaces; limestone walls, brick lintels and rusted steel details.
